Hotel Skansen
History
Hotel Skansen dates from 1877 and was originally built as a granary. It was converted into a hotel in the 1920s and became a meeting point for bathers and tennis fans. The hotel was also popular with King Gustav V who took part in the forerunner to today’s Swedish Open – the Swedish Championships. Since 1990 Hotel Skansen has been extensively expanded to become a charming mini metropolis, sympathetically designed to blend into the picturesque cultural landscape.
